Homeschooling vs Public schooling
So what is the difference with it.School is a place where your children should be safe and able to learn to the best of anyone's ability.I was in public school till i was in 4 th grade,then my parents pulled me and my 3 sisters out to home school us.
My parents did not like the way other kids teased my sister.They did not want my sister to learn about stuff they were teaching in middle school.
At first we were excited to stay at home and not have to go to school.We were also sad to leave some friends behind.
Homeschooling vs public schooling
I honestly think it depends on the child and the school on what is best for them.For me it was better for me to be home schooled.I am smart and a very fast learner.I liked to teach myself knew things.I liked being home with my mom.I was never a social butterfly like my sisters.I liked to keep to myself.
My husband is a social bug and loves to talk to random people.So of course he thinks the kids should stay in public school to learn social skills.(they already have more skills than i do)But that scares me.My parents were strict and very protective of me and my sisters.I hated it when i was a kid but am very thankful know.I want to raise my kids like i was raised and my husband like he was.He was riding his bike around a mid-sized city at 8. I was very shy and did not talk to strangers.My kids will talk to almost anyone.It's kind of embarrassing to when your kid just walks up to someone and starts talking to them or pulling on their shirts.That is not ok with me.I want to maybe say hi if someone talks to them,but i want them to be aware that it is not ok to talk to strangers.
I want to protect my kids so i want to keep them close.
Homeschooling vs Public schooling
I really think it was best for me to be homeschooled but some of sisters i think would have done better in a public school.
I just don't believe in some of the stuff they do and teach so how can i send my kids there?It is hard.
I started this awesome home business that will help with my decision because if i can supplement my income and stay at home i think i will homeschool.
I wish everyone the best of luck with the decision of how to teach their children.It is one of the most important decisions of one's life.
